Applewood bacon has a perceptibly milder flavor than our Country Style bacon, and is slightly sweeter. This bacon is dry cured using an old-school technique, allowing salt, cane sugar and spices to infuse the meat slowly with an intense flavor. It is then smoked with applewood. The bacon slabs are hand-trimmed and cut generously into strips with the perfect balance of fat. It has a mellow, slightly sweet taste and a beautiful golden brown color. Since it doesn't overpower other flavors, Applewood bacon is a terrific addition to a breakfast hash or dishes with vegetables.
