Recipe:Fried Wonton Triangles with Ground Yak

  • CHOPPED SCALLIONS

    QTY 2-3 TBSP

  • DOROT GINGER

    QTY 4 CUBES

  • GARLIC CLOVE MINCED

  • SOY SAUCE TO TASTE

  • SESAME OIL

    QTY 1 TSP

  • ASIAN DIPPING SAUSE TO TASTE

  • SESAME SEEDS AND SCALLIONS TO GARNISH

  • FRYING OIL

  • WONTON WRAPPERS

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground meat with scallions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil.

  2. Place water in a small bowl and prepare working surface.

  3. On a dry surface, place wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of meat mixture in the center. Close the wontons by dipping your finger in the water and moistening the two adjoining edges.

  4. Continue to form wontons and place in a sheet pan lined with paper until ready to fry.

  5. In a deep pot, place enough frying oil to have at least 2 inches. Heat until it reaches 375F or medium heat. Fry for 30-40 seconds or until golden. Using a slotted spoon, place on a paper towel to drain. Serve warm with your favorite Asia dipping sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds and scallions.
