Recipe:Carne Guisada Beef Stew Latin-Style

Reminiscent of the ultimate comfort food, but with a twist, this delicious stew will tantalize your taste buds. Serves 4 - 8.


Serving Size


  1. In a medium braising pot, heat the oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the beef stew meat with Butcher’s Salt & Pepper. Place in hot oil. Sear until evenly browned on all sides.
  3. Add the pepper trio, garlic and cilantro. Stir fry for 5 minutes, and add the rest of the ingredients except for the potatoes and carrots.
  4. Reduce heat to medium low and cover. Simmer for one hour and 15 minutes.
  5. Add the carrots and potatoes. Simmer for 10 -15 minutes until vegetables and meat are tender. (For Slow Cooker, Place all ingredients in crock pot and cook in low for 8 hours). *USDA recommends cooking beef to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F
